British Wool Tweed small Tote Handbag - handmade with real leather handles

Beautifully handcrafted British Wool Tweed Handbag with real leather handles hand stitched to each bag.  Each bag is also fitted with a leather key finder strap.
Measures approximately 12 by 11 inches.
All my bags are hand crafted by myself from my workshop next to my cottage in Devon, which I had built for all of the hand made products that create.  I spend many hours in there creating my unique products with my little helper by my side, Basil, my little Jack Russell, unless he has spotted a bird or a cat to chase out of HIS garden…..
They are all very individual bags with each one having its own unique features, from different linings to zips and coloured fabric used in each bag that is made.  The bags take many hours to create from the design stage through to adding the finishing touches, including stitching the leather handles on to each bag or cutting and riveting the leather straps by hand (depending upon the style of the bag.)
I use British tweed made from British wool, being a farmer’s daughter, I wanted to support our British Farmers and British Manufacturers wherever I can.
I ensure that all of the linings and pockets are made from contrasting, mix and match, high quality fabrics e.g. Liberty of London, Rose & Hubble, Viyella, real velvet, etc.   I interline each bag with a stiffened felt, so they hold their shape, yet are soft to handle.  Each bag is fitted with brass feet, to ensure that the fabric on the bottom of the bag is always protected from being in direct contact with the ground, which will keep the bag in better condition for years to come.
Each bag also has a magnetic clasp fastener to ensure that the bag closes and is secure.  They also have an internal slip pocket which has been divided into two and should be the correct size to hold most mobile phones and an internal zip pocket.
Every bag that I make is truly unique in their own right.
